I wanted to celebrate my Spanish heritage with my dress and incorporate this theme throughout the whole wedding. I wore a designer ball gown that comprised of a strapless corset with a three-tiered bustle in satin brocade. My accessories included a cathedral length mantilla made of antique Spanish lace, an antique tortoise shell Spanish comb, a white pineapple-lace fan from the Philippines, my late grandmother's cameo pin and earrings, satin opera length gloves, a satin brocade drawstring purse and antique satin brocade shoes. The whole effect was perfect. I felt like I stepped back in time to the days of the Senoritas and Senors of the 1890s.
