My Mother made my dress. It was a matte satin gown with a sweetheart shaped Queen Anne's neckline. The sleeves were long and tapering and ended in the form of fingerless gloves. Thus no additional gloves were required. The bodice had re-embroidered lace with beautiful pearls, silver and iridescent beads and buglebeads. It had an extra long (two and half meters) cathedral train with beautiful re-embroidered lace trailing from waist to hem and all around the hem. The re-embroidered lace was highlighted with sequins and iridescent beads. About ten meters of matte satin, 6 meters of re-embroidered lace and approximately 5000 beads were used to make this dress.
